Crappie Fishing Lake Fork | Garmin Panoptix Livescope
We headed back to Texas and the legendary Lake Fork for some crappie fishing. We used a range of lures from hair jigs, plastics and minnows. We also fished a vast range of water from 20 foot to 40 plus foot to find fish. This trip was the first time for Bob and Kimo using their new Garmin Panoptix Livescope. Why y’all set the hook like it’s a 8# large mouth on a frog? There called paper mouths for a reason! It took me awhile to fight the bass hookset to but finally think I have it under control
I just got my panoptix hooked up can’t wait to use it. Y’all should make a video of scanning and fishing docks with it. I kinda want a hb mega to search for crappie but I thing the livescope will illuminate the need for a mega unit.
Dude! Those are some slabs! Is it really necessary to fish them right after a cold front? I would imagine if you wait a couple days for that N wind to stop, a nice light SW breeze will come up and get those fish to bite more consistently. Haven’t fished Lake Fork in years, but looks like the Crappie are doing well (at least until you guys came along…..LOL). Nice vid thanks.
Did you mount the live scope transducer on the trolling motor shaft or did you mount it separately?
