Catching Giant on Artificial at East Fork State Park

Monster at East Fork State Park! In this video, I’m out solo on the Bass Tracker 170 scouting for upcoming tournaments. I ended up landing a massive 19.5-inch Largemouth Bass and a hard-fighting Shovelhead (Flathead Catfish) all on artificial lures.

With tournament pressure high on the lake, I had to slow down and go with a stealthy approach to trigger these bigger bites.

🎣 Lures Used:

The “Silent Killer”: Strike King KVD 1.5 Silent Squarebill (Shad Pattern)

The Backup: Black and Blue Swimbait

📍 Location: East Fork State Park (William H. Harsha Lake), Ohio – North Shore area.

🌬️ Conditions: Sunny/Partly Cloudy, 70°F, Southwest winds.

If you’re fishing pressured Ohio reservoirs, sometimes silence is the key. While other boats were running loud rattles, the silent square bill tucked right into the shallow cover was what triggered this 19.5″ kicker.
