Another Bass Fishing CHEATER Caught Stuffing Weights in Fish AGAIN

We have another bass fishing tournament cheater who’s decided to put weights in fish. A phrase that was made famous a few years back, but it’s happened AGAIN. This weekend at the Lake Fork Lures presented by Sealy Big Bass Tournaments, fisherman Curtis Daniels stuffed weights in his fish that he caught. The bass he caught were wanded and a beep was heard. The Fish and Wildlife from Texas were notified, then cut open the fish only to find WEIGHTS IN FISH! Curtis was detained and booked into jail and all are awaiting more information.

  1. Quick Update (did not want to do another video): There were Three 3/4 oz weights in the fish found by Game Wardens. Same weights were found on the dudes boat. He has a $20k bond and could face up to 10 years in prison and $10k in fines and possible license revocation.

  2. I bumped into this guy when I was down there fishing arrogant to say the least. I left March 5th at 5pm before the tournament began I also bumped into the guy that won and guessed he was from Festus Missouri when he told me by St.Louis and I guessed Festus him and his buddy were floored. Both nice guys.

  3. A lot of pro fisherman need to find other sources of income. Tournament put way too much strain on fish. Just think. They fish for 3 or 4 days straight just in practice. Then 3 or 4 day in the tournament. So you have a bunch of guys sometimes 50 or more fishing 1 lake for 6 or 7 day's straight

  4. Just a little note, if you look under the video it says "Slid Trucker Cap" not Sild trucker Cap. Just a slight typo I'm sure but thought you might want to know. Honest, I am definitely not a internet spelling or grammar teacher this just caught my eye.

  5. Man. These cheaters keep making us tournament guys look bad, and I hate it. I put so much money, time and effort into being a good fisherman – way more than the average weekend guy ever does, and then people gotta go and cheat. I've had many days where I haven't cashed a check, you just take it on the chin and move on.

  6. This is something we all know lol. They caught because U hear about it der cheating that happen and no one knows lol no way. Seems like every tournament is a story.

  7. Problem with these guys is that they do it in confidence. Meaning, they have been successful in past attempts. I can't imagine ruining your whole fishing career like this. Ruined for life in the community they live in.

  8. At this particular tournament the fish is weighed first. After it is weighed the angler does not touch it again. It is then scanned on the way to the tank. So assumingly his two first-place fish for the our did not have weights in them. Crazy thing is I was told from "a reliable source" that even with the weights in that particular fish he still wasn't going to cash a check in that hour smh so he literally did it for nothing it is now banned from of course all Sealey events and probably more. Not to mention the finest and hopefully jail time.

  9. Aaron Moreau (2024): Arrested in Louisiana for stuffing lead weights into a 6.69-pound bass at the Big Bass Splash tournament. This is nothing new and has been going on for years. I am glad now that people like yourself are using their platforms to blast these guys out. Thanks Steve.

  10. You ready Steve?? Here goes…. After he gets finished paying his fines, they should tack on another $50,000 fine and loss of his fishing license for 25 years in every state in this country. Make an example out of his ass. Oh, no more tournaments for him, make his name known world wide.

  11. You know what the sad part is? It isn't a secret that metal detectors will be used. It's like lie detectors, it's a part of the process. You truly have to be a special kind of stupid to put metal weights in a fish at a major tournament since about 2022.

  12. I have an honest question: is it possible for someone to have stuffed weights in that fish at an earlier date, released it, and then this guy caught it during this tournament, not knowing that it had weights in it; or do fish always die after having weights stuffed in them?

  13. All tournaments should wand all fish weighed. I wish people would be honest but some are not. He should not only be banned from tournament fishing for life and also jail, fine, take away fish license for 10 years, and confiscate him boat and gear. This type of punishment will definitely deter cheating.
