GIANT BASS Eats CRAPPIE on Wife's Tiny Fishing Rod!

A giant bass eats my wife’s fish while crappie fishing on Sam Rayburn lake with my buddy Shaine. She’s using a tiny ultra light fishing rod for crappie fishing, making the big bass almost impossible to move up towards the surface.

  1. Had a similar experience as a kid at Toledo Bend crappie fishing with minnows. Had a bass that I got near the surface and bent the hook. My dad didn’t think to put something stronger on and I dropped another minnow down and brought him back up again but this time made it to the surface and he was around 20-24” and broke the line. Dad finally thought to grab his bass rod and stripped off the plastic worm and put a minnow onto it. He was bound and determined for me to land that monster fish but 3rd time was not a charm that day. Never took the minnow again and he scared off all the crappie. My dad mumbled about that fish for the next 2 days. As an 8 year old I was satisfied just hooking something that big and getting it near the boat.

  2. Those are really nice ultra lites. Love to know what type and where I could get a few like them.
My wife was reeling in a 3-4 lb Spanish Mac when a 40 lb Reef Donkey ( aka Amberjack) came up and made a meal outa it. 30 min later she finally landed her Spanish lol.

  3. This happened to my daughter while fishing with her pink princess fishing rod. She was fishing with a piece of bubble gum, when she caught a bluegill. The fish was 2 feet from shore when I watched as a GIANT bass come out of the depths and swallow it. Chaos ensued

  4. BLAT I do understand that things of today must be addressed, I just wish everyone could get along. We have so much power that a few seem to always cloud the good some of us try to live by. Until we can look past the few we will never mend ourselves.I am sorry that you feel this way, we can make it better for all races. With your help and others maybe we have a chance, the lord willing.

  5. Grill those Crappie rubbed down in butter & then soaked in white wine Worcestershire
sauce for 30-40 mins then sprinkle in season all or Tony's Chachere seasoning !
I'm from Southeast Texas, and been fishing for 49 yrs and this is the very best grilled
fish I've ever eaten for over 25 years now! Yumm ! Yumm! : )

  6. I've had something like this happen with a bluegill and a catfish, using my bluegill / trout rig, only the hook pulled partially out of the little bluegill's mouth and caught in the catfish' mouth:  It took about 15 min but I landed the nice 20" channel cat with a 4" bluegill still attached.  Lotsa fun on a light rig!  Have also seen catfish chase a hooked bluegill a couple other times but didn't catch those cats.  Most impressive was fishing one time in a lake where I was catching lots of "nuisance" channel cats (~8-10" long).  Was reeling another one in and got a huge hit – bent my catfish rod WAY over; I fought it several seconds, mostly paying out line, then it was gone. When I brought the line in, the little catfish was still "on", but with several long deep tooth marks – had to be from a very large gar.  (Junior catfish was a goner –  went on ice and became cat food.)
