  1. I was busy this weekend so I didn't get to watch but even still I will agree with some of the comments below. I think the website stream is horrible and maybe watching it on Fox is way better. I wouldn't know because they air this at some time on Fox ,at other times on Hulu or some sort of streaming platform and then there is their website ,which they just need to stop with that. There has been a lot of talk about this tournament and everything around it. Some, I'm sure is just normal rumor mill type crap but there are somethings going on that seem to be legit. I know a lot of people are mad about the FFS stuff and guys, the young man that won it played by the rules and deserves a big congratulations whether you like FFS or not. I think BASS is going to have to do something next year or they are going to be facing a sinking ship that they can't bail out. Besides all that the next tourney for BASS will be tough but with that I think more traditional fishing will be seen.

  2. You said it Steve, the majority of the top 10 were under 30 of age. This is insane & not fair.
Talk about cheating with forward sonar!

If this tournament on Lake Fork doesn't show the devastating effect of forward facing sonar I don't know what will. Seth finishing top 10 but he never had a chance to win. Look at the weight difference betw Seth & the video.

I'm sorry, this is not fishing.

  3. Isn't that the kid who got busted cheating in an open 2 yrs ago having someone hole sitting?
The elite cheater series, filled with prolific cheaters and one who has been arrested for tourney fraud, surprised anyone takes the elites serious anymore

  4. Sadly BASS is a freaking joke! Do us ALL a favor and Change the organizations name to the “Scopemasters Sportsman’s Society”! Seen a few clips of what was going down (as we all knew it would) so I simply knew NOT to watch! Bottom line is if you want to be successful with the “Scopemasters”, just spend most of your time scoping! Why try to learn what makes a real angler when the freaking cheaterbox is what brings the success!? Nothing but a damn shortcut! Pathetic, laughable, and sad! But hey, if BASS is keeping the viewership then more power to them!

  5. After watching MLF regulate the FFS to only one period per day, I'm sold on this being what BASSMASTER needs to do for their organization. I'm sure there is a way for BASSMASTER to figure it out. They could alternate days they can use it and days they can't. I agree with you 100%. They need the catch weigh and release. I also heard Jacob Wheeler give his opinion on the field, knowing at all times of the day who was winning and where they are in the standings. Like Jacob said, if you know how much you are behind, that would let you know the changes you need to make going forward. These are all things that would make the TV experience that much better to watch.

  6. Let's be real major league baseball has about 1100 or so players who are the best in the world at hitting, they are able to hit a baseball whether it's thrown at 90+ miles an hour, adjust for curves, sliders or whatever. They use wooden bats which makes it hard to find the sweet spot. In the 70's aluminum bats were allowed to be used at the amateur level, high school college etc. MLB banned there use because you didn't have to make good contact to drive the ball and furthermore these guys are so good someone could get hurt. I use FFS I like it I've located and caught plenty of bass fishing with it. In my opinion it's not a realistic measurement for who is the best which is what these events are supposed to determine. I commend MLF for trying to find a middle ground but BASS has painted themselves into a corner by not finding a middle ground. It would be so easy choose between day 1 or 2 which day you'll use FFS. Day 3 the top 50 can choose which half of the day it'll be in play and do the same half and half for the final 10. This is such an easy fix and it would appeal to both sides of the aisle but BASS is to stuck in their ways to make they would never make changes. If there are only 1200 people who play major league baseball because they are absolutely the best of best give the fans of bass fishing the same. Pitchers usually can't hit worth a lick that's why I guessed about 1100. I mean even a 10 year old could understand this logic

  7. I agree with questioning how the fish were weighed because sometimes they zoomed in on that scale and they locked it in at awake that was not on that scale may only been an ounce or two but an ounce are two makes a big difference so I question how they were doing thatbut I do like the catch and catch way and release. I think they need a new scale a new system, but the Fishing was just insane. The size of these fish incredible. Well that’s my two comments. Thanks for the video.

  8. Well, I watched the first half of the finals on FS one and I didn’t think they did that bad of a job with the broadcast the anglers I believe explained what they were doing what they were looking for and how they were doing it pretty well but yes, the replays of the same guy catching the same fish over and over again was quite a bit annoying The commercials out of control and I guess that’s what you get on TV because I gotta pay the bills, but I think the anglers did a good job. I think they did a pretty good job with the anglers, keeping us informed maybe a little to informed with the broadcast, but I think the anglers themselves keeping us informed of what they were doing and how they were fishing, I think was excellent

  9. Lake Fork final weigh in.
    1st is 24 y.o. 2nd is 24 y.o. 3rd is 2o y.o. 4th is 23 y.o. 5th is 29 y.o. 6th is 24 y.o. 7th is 25 y.o. 8th is 23 y.o. 9th is 26 y.o. 10th is 41 y.o.
This says a whole bunch about todays professional fishermen. 6 out of ten are between 20 & 24 years of age. Let that sink in. I just can't come to any conclusions on how 5:45 these 6 young men afford the truck, boat all gear electronics and on & on ? Who is financing them? Maybe they were born with the ability to buy this "stuff". I just can't wrap my head around it.

  10. Plain boring.126 pounds in 4 days Clearlake tournament had 2 in a 3 day tournament that were 102 103 lbs. just think what it would have been in a 4 day. And you were right about Trey The only segment that i seen was when he more or less threw that big fish back thats when i shut it off.

  11. I’m a fan of catch/weigh/release in all “elite” level events where cameras and/or marshals are in all boats. For other events, traditional weigh-ins are better options. With that said, I think the large tournament organizations need to find a way to either energize the weigh-in events or do away with them in favor of better streaming coverage.

  12. Seth is the real winner. I could watch him all day. Instead of all the silence the FFS guys could at least tell us what their looking at. You know there's some around that tree, rock whatever. Like watching paint dry. I was hoping Greg Hackney's momentum would carry him thru. As far as the classic goes, I think once they have so many years in BASS they should be grandfathered in. An automatic spot in the classic. I think they deserve it for helping build it to where it is. I would love to see them fish St. Clair without FFS, there would be bunch of hurt feelings with the video watching anglers then.

  13. Who won? Seth Feider, got the century belt without the cheater box!
Actually I'm serious, there were so many belts given in this one thanks to livescope that they mean nothing more than a participation trophy! Also, did you see how terrible Trey treated that 5 pounder when he realized it wasn't going to help him? That's grounds for DQ in my book.

  14. CWR is the way to go for all televised tournaments, which are probably and unfortunately a very small percentage of the number of actual fishing tourneys taking place, when you consider all the high school, college, small circuit, weeknighters, local bass club events happening everywhere. But making the Big Boys adopt this modus operandi will make a dent in the destruction of bass fishing quality currently going on. For one, I don't miss the "hoist the hawg" for the weigh-in photo ritual at all. Give the anglers a short interview to thank the sponsors, talk about the next contest, and scoot them off the stage.

  15. Great event, huge fish, big bags, good drama on day 4. Lots of different baits being used, big plugs, jigs and some other lures being used. You missed what was going on Steve, totally wrong on Sunday stuff going on
