I've had that happen, with the snake trying to get in the boat!! We were down on lake Toho and we were out in the middle fishing a under water grass edge and I hear my uncle tell to get a net or boat paddle anything, we had a big ol cottonmouth trying to get in the boat!! He said that was only the 2nd time in over 30 years of fishing in central Florida that one had tried to get in the boat and both times he said he was way offshore, I guess they get tired or whatever and just want to get out of the water. I'm the same way as u though, I see a snake and I'm ready to go or kill it, I don't care what kind of snake it is, if they don't bother me I don't bother them! Stay safe out there. Floors me that people just throw their unspooled line , minnow bags and shit like that in the lake and just don't give a shit . Line around your prop hub will burn out the bearings , the minnow bag wrapped around front of lower unit at full throttle will blow a motor .

Last year I killed a water moccasin ole big head it was coming to the kids playing in the water ditch after a huge storm with a kayak ,I hate snakes viper snakes with fangs I still think about that one sneaky freak of a snake with the kids playing in the water till this day a close one brother🇺🇸
