Hi Everyone!

My fisherman fiancé and I went on a fishing trip recently to getaway from the city and unwind. Lake Fork is a popular fishing destination in Texas and is only about 4 hours away from us so we decided to head up there to check it out.

While my fiancé is very much into fishing, I am not so much. So it was really nice when we arrived at Kelleys Lake Fork Cottage located in the small town of Yantis, TX. The owners, Sheryl and Mike, live on the property and rent out their two guest suites that each have their own private entrances. One of the suites has a kitchenette which was so convenient as we were able to bring our own groceries and cook for the entirety of our stay (don’t worry, there are restaurants nearby that are available as well if you’re not into cooking). What sets Kelleys Cottages apart from any other Airbnb is Mike and Sheryl’s hospitality! We honestly felt so welcomed the entire trip. The rooms are stocked with every basic essential you can think of so it felt like home. They literally have thought about everything from bottled waters, to cereal, to shampoo, down to laundry detergent for the washer and dryer, which is also a huge plus!

Included in the stay is access to numerous onsite amenities such as canoes, kayaks, hot tub, grill, and, most importantly, the dock and private launch. If you need anything at all, you can just text Mike or Sheryl and they will help you get things set up. By the end of our trip we felt like they were our friends, rather than just Airbnb hosts.
