I met the guy from Festus Missouri leading day one. I met him and his buddy March 3rd or 4th up in Caney. I left March 5th my best was a 9 pound 3 ounces lost another at least 9 but redeemed myself 50 minutes later with the other 9. I was just casting on a 5 to 4 foot huge flat with no cover dingy water with a Hawg Caller spinnerbait white willow leaf blades fan casting and she must have been up feeding on what shad might have been around. The 9 I caught was off a dock

I’m 76. When I was a kid, Dad and I could leave our gear in our boat, tied up to the dock, go eat lunch at the marina/bait store, etc and nobody touched our stuff. I had the rear pedestal seat stolen off my boat at the Skeeter Owner’s tournament while I was weighing in a fish. There is definitely a different class of people fishing today.
It's ironic the cheaters almost always are actually great fishermen that can and do catch monsters.
Billy you can’t equate your past with what this man has done. I have one, most men have one. But at the end of the day all we have is our integrity and doing the right thing when no one is watching. That is what separates us from guys like this man. He has no integrity and he feels he has a right to take what we’ve worked for within the rules. I have zero tolerance for thieves.

Just read an article about this situation. This individual has posted a $20,000 Bond and has been released from Jail. He has been charged with a 3rd Degree Felony. In other words, he posted $2000 in bail bond. He won more money than what he had to post for Bond. Just barely a slap on the wrist. He should be banned for life from entering any future tournaments.
Why doesnt every club and mid range circuit use a detector you can buy a wand at harbor freight for 40 bucks.
Where im from we have 2 brother in team tourneys winning almost every 100 boat tourney against hammers little sus cant wait til they get busted. Fresh on the scene a few yrs ago come out dominating lol
Great video, none of us are perfect. This needs to be more on YouTube than just fishing lures. Needs to be stopped if its xray every fish for the integrity, honesty and for examples for younger fishermen.

I don’t understand this. The prize money is nice for us amateur anglers but I want to compete and maybe win. If I cheated to win I couldn’t enjoy the best part which is being the best that day. That’s what all of the blood, sweat and tears is about!

What if the weights were already in the fish when he caught the fish? I know you said they matched the weights in his boat. Because I have caught bass before just on a hook and no worm or nothing. Plus I have bass tap my weight all the time.
Every tournament should have reffaries on the boat pay to play catch n release right wear the bass was cought less tournaments bigger pay outs but need to have reffaries on every boat
I have several friends that have cought 10 pounders then boarded them and they ended up short which is shorter then 24 inches.
