Lake Fork Summer Crappie Fishing (JULY '22)

The dog days of summer have finally settled in with most days over 100*. The bite has slowed down but good fish can still be caught. In the past couple weeks I’ve seen the crappie move from 15′ out to 20′. Minnow tipped jigs or split shot rigs pitched to deep brushpiles and laydowns will get bit. Using active target / forward facing sonar can cut down on search time and help narrow down bait / technique. Stay safe in this summer heat and DRINK WATER!
