Oh, They're sexy. Once you get slammed. I caught a grass carp in 15' over 30' last week. I scoped what I thought was a channel.
And No, we haven't even caught a sandbass with the live target that I can think of.

I watched a YouTube video this morning where a guy (Damian Thao) won a tourney with a giant spoon fishing a marina.
The ben parker mag spoon catches huge catfish too.

The best spoons I have luck with are the Marathon and Doctor brands…try them and let me know what success you have!

I think the pattern is shattered glass. Spoons are my next dominant lure. I do a different one every year to stay comfortable or get comfortable with a certain type of presentation. Great video. Damion Tao just won a yak a bass with a spoon at Don Pedro reservoir in California. The politics suck but the fishing is good.

Haven’t caught any largemouth or spots with a spoon but I typically can get into a school of white bass on my usual lake. They are not big but you catch a bunch and it’s a ton of fun!
