Added tip: meguires metal polish will keep your unpainted spoons nice and shiny for many years
What about changing out the treble or a single hook. I do that with some lures where weeds are heavy and my hook ups still seem good.

Currently, my biggest producer by far (in a lake filled with largemouth and threadfin shad) is a 2” Cotton Cordell spoon (with an upsized treble hook). I just swim it and the bass hammer it. Just this week I’ve caught bass from 1 to over 4 lbs.
Will 2lb-3lb Smallie eat this Big Larry or is this bait geared for Largemouth?

I'm curious about using a spoon for suspended fish. My reservoir is 200+ and the smallmouth are chasing schools of kokanee.
