My Two Carolina Rig Set Ups for Bass

I explain my 2 carolina rig set ups for different situations in bass fishing different lakes at certain times of year. I go over the line, weights, terminal tackle, and rod and reel selection for fishing these rigs. They are are an easy way to catch bass when they are biting slow and hanging close to the bottom.

  1. Bobber stop is interesting. I’ll have to try that. What confuses me is why everyone uses fluorocarbon for the leader. Fluoro is more dense than mono and has a tendency to sink. I want my soft plastic floating behind the sinker. I like plastics that have air holes for extra buoyancy. I usually use 14 lb green mono for leader.

  2. Why not put a bobber stopper between the heavy tungsten weight and the knot attached to the barrel swivel? Not having anything protecting the knot is going to break the line at the knot 95% of the time and frankly it makes me really question your knowledge of fishing a Carolina rig at the least and as an angler at worst.

  3. Hey, great video man! Very professional and informative. Do you think you could post link to where you get your bobber stoppers? I'm always looking but they never seem to have the kind you show here at the local Wal Mart and they look really legit Lol. Thanks! And keep on making vids.

  4. Sir, I am not sure what you meant when you said that a tungsten weight is “Heavier and is lighter” Did you mean that it had less mass in size per weight? Or did you mean that it was lighter in color? I am just still trying to learn about Fishing. Thank You.

  5. Correct me if I'm wrong but there is no scientific evidence that can see fishing line. The deeper the less visibility. It's fishermen that think/assume that fish see the line that make up these statements

  6. didn't think about this till later but I have to ask. Why use braid with fluorocarbon and not just fluorocarbon ? I've been trying to figure out lines I never gave it much thought. A video explaining lines in all scenarios would be awesome , thanks. good vid.

  7. That's what I needed! I never put the bobber stopper… and and always put the same strength line as my leader and would get stuck and lose the entire rig… thanks for the tip

  8. very good informative video. straight to the point. you should add in the actual knot tying or have a knot tying video. that way we can reference back to it.
I've been fishing for 30 years and steel mess up knots all the time

  9. This is one of your better videos. Professional and to the point. You and Flukemaster are ny two favorites. Just cant watch ANY of the "googan" guys. Lunkers is alright but their videos are just too childish with little real content.
