Part: 1 of 3:
Paul Elias did something on Falcon Lake that nobody, including himself, thought possible. He averaged nearly 7-pound bass over April 3-6 to capture the BASS all-time heavyweight record. See, for the first time, every bass he pulls into the boat (and some he missed), and an interview with Elias that walks you through his emotions on the final day of the Bassmaster Elite Series Lone Star Shootout presented by Longhorn. Did he think he had enough to win? What did Aaron Martens tell him before the weigh-in? Find out in the exclusive, full-length show. It’s something youv’e never seen before and might never see again: Paul Elias, 132 pounds, 8 ounces. Watch now!

Watching this again in 2025. Falcon Lake needs RAIN!!!
Who here in 2025?
If you wanted to watch tv in my household growing up, you had to watch fishing or hunting. It’s all my dad would put on the tv. And after watching professional bass fishermen for 500 weekends, I decided to pursue a career in golf. I knew I could never outfish these guys. I can’t beat professional golfers either, but I’m still good enough to be a pro and give lessons to anyone who shows up at our course.
My buddy told me not to trow that bait here ,you’ll get hug up ,shor enough my bait stopped solid untill the stump came to life and swamp past him .he said my god that bass is as big as a football ,then my line went limp I lost him
Mann’s Baits !
I am looking for Bruin Outdoors Paul Elias Legend Series Right Hand Baitcast Fishing Reel 7.3 or 8.1:1 used or new.
I remember watching this tournament with my dad live, just AWESTRUCK. To this day I still keep Mann’s Jelly Worms in my tackle box, JUST in case!
So badass with that golf or batting glove!
Back when people didn’t stare at a screen 📺 all day.
I liked the tip about standing on a porch step.
My son and I got to meet him at the last mlf tournament we went to. He is a super nice guy. Took pics with my 9yr old and signed a couple items as he gave him tips.
Yeah def an incredible day. It mightve been called something different but i had no idea they were using live scope back in those days. IMO its straight up cheating. I mean hes sitting there looking at those monster bass and all he had to do was figure out which bait was gonna work the best
Can you imagine if he had the active target technology then how big that bag would of been?
I don't see how he trusted that fluorocarbon setting that hook like that.
Anyone can do this cheating with a damn big screen TV stealth bomber radar finder… mic drop
All time great 👍
I remember going fishing with Bill Dance and Roland Martin
I remember going fishing with Bill Dance and Roland Martin
I happen to know a girl that's Paul's niece and she is, and I'm not exaggerating here, one of the most beautiful girls on planet earth. and good as gold to boot. she said Paul is a great guy.
I come back to this video and watch it at least once a year, it still gives me chills.
Paul is one of my favorite fisherman, great guy!
Watching this in 2021 while I’ve been in a slump. Weighed in maybe 13-15 lbs for 5. in my last few tournaments. I need me a 30 lb sack to go ahead & get back in the right mind of things. Listening to him say “ I only had 20-22 lbs for my first 5 “ made me laugh. I’d love to have that lol
Who’s here in 2021
This one comes close! https://youtu.be/vVA3ik9JSgE
and he did this without spot-lock and livescope. I met Paul and several of the old timers at a PAA tournament here on Cherokee Lake back around 2010, really nice guys. Shaw Grigsby was awesome and went out of his way to talk to fans. I was glad I went to the weigh-in because fans would be standing beside the anglers while they were at the water tanks, taking pics and just visiting.
Does Paul still hold the record???
Love those Mann’s patches on Paul’s shirt and cap.
Mann’s jelly worm 🍇 grape 👍
Paul Elias is a legend!
Hes the shit good fishing
Rod Crawford! Almost broke the record string of Bass for real…237pounds for 20 bass! The record still stands at 240 pounds of a
string of bass. Came that close, my Brother's and myself on a spring morning March 8th 1987, our fish came from a place pretty close to where the record was set at Ocklawaha River. Monsters lurk there! What really made it all worth talking about is we returned everyone of the fish back to the exact spot She was caught. Memories last forever…
Big bass are fun to catch but the small ones are good to eat.
He caught that on a $60-70 reel. 🇺🇲
Golf glove!
Love the old school guys , I'm old school myself. trying to learn how to edit my own fishing experiences. any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Gotta throw some big ol Huddlestons on that lake
Tom man told you catch a trophy bass on a jelly worm
Great catch . if you have a chance take it look my channel!!
PAUL ELIAS is the man , kneel and reel .. get the extra 4' do it every time i go.
class act
I've watched this so many times that iknow all the words.
That lake was unreal a few years ago. I had 13 8 lbers in a row on one point. Me and my partner caught 400 plus pounds in a day. Only weighed 5 plus fish. Heaven on earth. I actually quit fishing after that for years because nothing could compete.
hahahahahaaaha mans jelly worm hahahahahaaha i love it ive got 8 packs left Paul
BassMasters turned me off watching these fishing shows. It's like fake wresslin' now.

Do you notice that he doesn't use the drag?
He shifts the reel to free spool and uses his thumb.
