  1. While going to college at SFA for extra money in the Summer I guided on Fork 2-3 days a week. Launched mostly out of Coffee Creek Marina back in the 1980's. 95% of the trips were at night. Fishing was incredible. We could tow our boats down a little road on the side of FM 2966, and camp out right there where we fished a lot at Running Creek (!). We'd guide for $100/day-or night 3-4 days and then head back to Nacogdoches, TX.. After Fork became "what it is today" our camping spot at Running Creek was fenced off, we were Seniors by then and concentrated on graduation from college, which I did, and went on w/ life. But it's always so cool to reminisce about all the trips and giant fish we'd caught back then when I go to Fork these days just fishing and head up towards Coffee & Running Creek. Both are still great places to hook a hawg.

  2. These elite series guys that are whining about this need to stop their crying. I only fish Fork 3 or 4 times per year and know where the pond damn is for crying out loud. There’s more info on Fork then any like on earth. If they really want to impress me, they need to go fish some lakes that they can’t find everything they need to know online. Shit, go fish lake grapevine or Fairfield. Some smaller less known lakes. It’s plain silly to pretend you know something on lakes like fork that 1000 others don’t know. I wish they’d stop……….I was gonna fish there last week until I found out there was a lake full of pecker heads there. I don’t dislike all these guys but many seem like jerks
