If I'm watching a tournament, I watch to see who wins, who does it the best. With FFS you do get to see more fish caught. I ve never been for using it in tournaments. I still watch bass though. I see Fathergill is top 10 every week. Love him or not he is tuned in to catching bass.

It's to be expected though. 214 tournaments, 25 years of my life, and only a handful of wins, I'd be fkn sour too.
Personally I have lost all respect for Davey Hite. He absolutely knows better for lack of a better phrase and still sits there every Saturday kissing the ring. Makes me want to puke.
I agree with your FFS take BUT I disagree on your Lake Fork opinion. The shallow bite has gotten tough but it's taking 20 pounds to get 4th-5th place now since March. There were 2 overs weighed in Thursday in our club. As the pros always show, the numbers speak for themselves as far as quality fish. It gets pressure like no other and some people, most actually, fish too fast. Sometimes it ain't the lake but the people fishing it that's the bigger issue.
I hear that Garmin is legaly buying B.A.S.S instead of just running in the background. If so B.A.S.S.is dead.
Unfortunately I am a life time member of B.A.S.S. and have been since 1988. Originally my membership started in 1978. The organization has has turned into total crap. No way in hell will I watch it on tv now. Keep up your good work Randy.

Ban all electronics
I have been a marshal for several and when I get the pairing notification the night before I have to make myself go to the ramp the next morning because it’s uneventful to sit and watch when you know you are with a FFS guy. I wonder if the marshal program struggles are related to this?
Elite is correct 50 grand on electronics 100 thousand on boat and bass is on it way to being corrupted and have totally forgotten the bass fisherman that help them grow
Randy go start your own trail and make B.A.S.S. go bankrupt. There ya go. Problem solved. I personally like live scope. It’s definitely not easy like everyone likes to make it out to be. What these guys are doing is impressive as hell to me. Tell me why these older pros that are so good can’t use it and catch em then? If it’s so easy and it’s cheating. It’s because they can’t. And their pride is hurt because these younger guys are waxing their ass with the same electronics they have access too.
I’m watching these guys fish the lakes I have fished my entire life. Kayak guys in particular. The guys scoping are having 100 inch days, fishing in the middle of the lake where I would never bass fish. This technique is going to destroy the breeders that populate these lakes. So many of these fish die from barotrauma…..it’s gut wrenching to watch.

FFS is DEI for fishing. To a large extent it's for those who can't cut it without a DEI boost. Just like DEI, it's an unfair advantage, it's biased, it removes those who are truly qualified through study and effort, it dumbs down the whole system making things much worse over time.

I must admit. I did turn it on, watched it for about 5 mins. and saw the guys looking at their screens totally unaware of what is going on around them. The coverage is unacceptable. We want to see true bass anglers testing their skills against the fish. Not using FFS! That requires no knowledge of bass fishing.
Randy, I absolutely agree with everything you say thanks for standing up for the fisherman. Don’t have a platform like you you’re doing the right thing if this spotlighting crap does not get banned. Our kids are in trouble once we’re not only around because they’re not gonna have the opportunity that we had as we was growing up. Personally if that came to pass mlf should totally do npfl is doing ban Livescope. I’m gonna bet most would gravitate to them and npfl. Livescope is too polarizing and is not good for the sport. Whether you use it or not most recognize it shouldn’t be allowed in tournaments especially professional tournaments.
But if garmin bought bass
They could name it Garmin Scopemaster classic. Lol
