Tournament bass fishing is on a decline. Just look at the number of boats in BFLs and Toyotas. It’s down a lot. FFS isn’t true bass fishing. No instincts being used. It’s really sad what bass fishing has turned into.
It doesn’t matter how good you are at boxing, if I get bear mace. Ju- What? Mr. Jalapeno hot sauce, super condensed, for your viewing pleasure. MMA Champion of the universe.

I have a question for everyone ? How do you know that everyone has the same technology, I am willing to bet that not everyone is fishing with the same transducers or updates as the rest of the field ! The only way to know is to check each unit individually, with the same people running the table im sure thats the case ? Im interested to see how everyone else feels on this. Scott Matin let that slip with a Garmin upgrade that he tested as far back as 8 years before that interview. So you know he was using it in tournaments.
watched live just a few minuets today and never saw the angler make a cast. Sad I just stopped watching

Every time a person who doesn’t fish ask me what this Livescope thing is I explain it to them what the technology is. They ALL say, well that’s cheating. I laugh. Even they get it.
The one good thing about Livescope is that the guys that like it can also use to do a colinoscopy on themselves.
Love watching him cry foul. But I am watching for entertainment so it help him as well lol I love my live scope don’t make the fish bite tho but it does help with making sure im casting in a target rich environment. It definitely produces more fish. He would be alot more productive with his time advocating for better creel limits an size regulations by wildlife officials I think most people would agree with that. so we maintain healthy fisheries nobody wakes up an says (I hope I catch less fish today I think I’ll handycap myself.)
It is my opinion at this point the state and federal wildlife departments need to get involved and make it illegal to use on game fish just like they did with spot lighting game animals or using drones to locate them.
Half the advertisements today were for forward facing sonar 🤦🏽♂️ definitely spot-lighting for bass

We tell our kids to get off the screens and go outside. Bass goes outside and gets on the screens.
If you have to take the time to convince people using ffs is fishing. Then probably isn't fishing and you know it. I own ffs its not hard to use and its not fishing. You stare, see a fish, watch your bait sink to it and see how it reacts. Most of the time they hit. Very little skill involved
Unfortunately.. technically moves on and it's going to get worse.. Money BUYS everything.. total corruption.. Everything is all about the money period.. It's not going to change unfortunately.. Keep up the good fight.. Maybe we'll win eventually but it'll take an act of Congress.

I contacted BASS about some of my concerns of the current state of tournament fishing. Never got a response and I pretty sure they don't care unfortunately. 👍👍👍

Fishing is not fishing anymore. Thank goodness they haven't turned deer hunting into the joke fishing has become. Could you imagine taking your kid out deer hunting using a drone with infrared to find and hunt the deer?
The true sportsman is gone in so called "professional" bass fishing.
Maybe the problem is your not smart enough to use FFS, so you want to take it out on everyone that can use FFS.
The only thing i agree about not to use FFS is when there are co anglers outside that i dont have a problem with it.
I might not be a pro fisherman but have fished club tournaments for about 7yrs and Redman Tournament Trail back in the late 80s and early 90s. So get over yourself.

I just wish the guys who used FFS would actually admit that it gives them an unfair advantage against someone who is not using it. I fish a club tournament on Lake Cumberland. It’s so hard to beat these guys with a scope. It’s laughable when these guys act like they are the best fisherman in the world when they’ve won a tournament using FFS. What a joke. Then when you say something about it, their comeback is “you’re just mad because you can’t afford it”. 😅. My response is I am just not a damn idiot to spend that much money to win a 10 boat tournament that pays out $150.

Watch these guys with FFS. They barely look at the water. They are constantly looking at a screen. Used to be you had to see the line. Not anymore. Hey BASS….this is NOT fishing. It's a video game show. I like fishing tourneys on TV…..this is NOT one !!! To the spnsors. Get this garbage off the boats. It's gonna kill your sport.
Suggestion. Limit the screens on a tourney boat to 2. One at console and one at bow. No more multi screens.
I just don’t care for how bass master runs there tournaments I have no interest in it because of forward facing sonar . I don’t care for Dave Mercer or davey boy wearing the woke Columbia hats . That hat company is so woke if you only knew what they supported you would burn all your Columbia attire like I did !!
