  1. I fish Toledo primarily but I fish Rayburn a good bit and make a point to get to Fork at least once during the prespawn and I spend at least a week when the spawn is going on every year. Ive caught a ton of big fish on a jerkbait and even a few double digit giants. Back in the day I would only throw them during the winter to early spring but ever since Livescope come around I have one on my front deck year around and it makes me wonder what I missed out on back before more people used them year around.

  2. Good stuff. But, no way I'm using a loop knot on a $25 lure. All that slamming of the lure eye on that loop every time you jerk is just a recipe for a break off.

  3. Good stuff man. I caught some good ones on Fork way back in the day out of bushes on a rogue…. several overs per day. Used to stay a week at the minnow bucket every March or April…..I miss that lake lol

  4. Great video. Been using Jerk baits since 1990. Ever since I got skunked in a tournament (I was a non- boater) on Broken Bow Lake. Had to make them back then. Drilled out a Rouge, added BB's. Probably still a few lost in Fork on the lower end. 8lb line didn't last to long. The 6.9" rod is just right. Lew's reel really made a difference. I have a couple other colors that work great on Fork. The jerk bait takes patience, but the rewards are great. I keep em tied on from October thru February. Thanks for all your great tips! Hope you have your best year ever!
