These are bits and pieces of still shots and short video clips pieced together of the solar eclipse that occurred on April 8, 2024. This viewing was in the community of Emory Texas located about an hour east of Dallas. At times, clouds obscured the view and rolled past the scene. We really wanted to capture the diamond ring effect as it occurred. It comes into view at approximately 26 minutes and 50 seconds and lasts for a few seconds. Please excuse some of the periodic camera shaking. My set up required constant readjustment because the tripod system was losing its grip and drifting off. Add that to the rotation of the earth and it made for difficult alignment. My apologies.
