In this video we are fishing for largemouth bass in the winter on one of the big bass lakes of Texas. Lake Conroe is the site of the 2017 Bassmaster Classic. There are a lot of big bass in this lake but it has always been hard to figure out a good pattern. It seems that these big bass really like to eat crankbaits in this lake though. The majority of the big bass I have seen caught are caught on deep diving and shallow diving crankbaits at all times of the year. I’m joined by fellow Aggie bass fishing champion Josh who knows the lake pretty well. Early in the day, we caught a bass that had a senko pastic worm hanging out of it’s mouth that it just ate. Then we noticed it had another senko worm hanging out of it’s butt! This fish really liked eating senkos! After only catching a few fish all day, we went to one last spot and Josh caught a really big bass on a crankbait.

Have you ever seen that before? A senko come out that way? I mean yeah I’ve seen other hooks and even crankbaits left inside fish sadly but never have I seen a fish trying to evacuate a senko lol

Do bass like shrimp and nightcrawlers? I was fishing for catfish and with shrimp, I ended up catching a nice bass. Obviously, I pictured it and released her because Catch n Release.
