Wow, that’s very interesting. I lived and fished A LOT in Sacramento from 1994 – 2014. The few interactions I had with game wardens were NEVER this intrusive or untrusting (I am a white man). I really don’t want to go making allegations or bringing in race, but either these officers were just extra cautious, officers have gotten more cautious in general, or you were just treated unusually hostile. I was never treated as a threat, asked to back up, or had my bag/gear searched. Once I was asked to bring in my gear, but that’s as “in-depth” as my interaction went. I honestly hope this wasn’t a racial thing. I do understand the risk that these officers face, and maybe there have been incidents since I moved that I’m not aware of, but it just seems very over the top for a compliance check while FISHING. Anyway, I like your video, gives me nostalgia of the Sac river. You also sound like my best friend whom I miss (he’s Filipino), I don’t mean to make assumptions but I hear a little Pinoy in your voice 😂. I subbed, happy fishing from Bonjing (my friends nickname for me 😂).

I was accused of clamming while i was really digging for sandworms. They came at me with guns drawn.Treated me like i was a criminal. No clams they had to lete go. While peolpe near me were fishing with no license and had illegal size fish next to them. They were not from this country and not even approached. WTF
California is going down the tubes sadly half your income goes to the bankrupt state there and the police think there above the law.Sadly these men dont know the law because this man wasnt doing anything but fishing and they had no probable cause to search his stuff

Wow .. Are the fisheries always so jumpy over there . He is talking like he suspected you have committed and actual crime . I've never seen anything like this in my life . Here they keep it real simple and only ask what they need to . Unless they know you have done wrong .. In which case they usually watch you for a bit and gather evidence..None of this keeping your hands out of pockets ect .

Must be his first day on the job. He basically gave the man now choice in going through his bag. Totally illegal even for a game warden. All he needed to do was produce a valid license and second rod stamp. I would be reporting this to their supervisor when they left.
I do kayak fishing and a DNR up here. There’s a couple of them that are totally anal. He targeted me and started inspecting my rig, and to his surprise, I was in full compliance. I even had a flare gun….. I told that DNR officer go after those 25 boats that sitting out there on the water and one out of 10 will have a flare gun….. If none at all…. And they act like that when they’re training someone so you get the rest of the picture….
