I'm fishing the Sabine River Park with big swimbaits and catching some nice fish early morning and late afternoon. Caught one today 23 – 1/4 just under 9lbs……..Swimbait I'm using is the 7inch 3-16 carp color with 20lb flourcarbon with 8ft grassrake and Lew's 8-1 speed spool tournament series running it just under the surface over the new grass around the rocks banks they just got finished putting in this December. We also caught fish in Hell on the hump just outside the cove on biscuit head jig and black senko with chartreuse dipped tail but nothing big on that just some decent males waiting to move up and build the beds.
