I was using a curly tail at my local pond and doing standard twitch/jerk retrieve, short to no pause. I paused for about 2-5 seconds cause i was talking to my wife and got a bite instantly, just like you mentioned. Your info is spot on! Thank you!

I just want one bass by the end of the year seems like nothing works for me. The two ponds I can go are really bad for almost all of these it's pretty much just live bait that works. I lost to a lipless and square crankbait in the same day from snags just to find out they normally don't work in my area. I'm in pressured water this just isn't cutting it.
