  1. I must have missed a few videos or something!! Wanted to watch this one…. first thing I thought…. dang, who's this fishing with Fluke????? Congrats Brother!! Been working on reducing my carbon imprint as well… just not as successfully as you!

  2. Just seen the video. Guntersville lake is my home lake. And that is MY pattern for these months. Your are right. It does work and is dependable. It's not uncommon for me to catch 17-24 pound bags, 5 fish limit a day, running this pattern. There are some good offshore fishing here. But those bass are not dependable. Everyone does it. But the shallow pattern with bluegill beds are dependable. Bass love blue gill and perch. Jean also i use a pop-r in clean water around those beds. IT does work. Even in the middle of the day i will pick it up first. Then change as needed from there. I like that electronics has improved so much for this very reason. Everyone uses it off shore. Therefor it keeps them off this pattern. Good video.

  3. I sure appreciate you taking the time to make the video and the pointers along the way. I live in Huntsville, so I'm gonna take advantage of this. It's all about having fun!

  4. Hey Gene. Its been a long time since I sat down and watched. You got me started on bass fishing ( watching every video), the Saturday Live-casts and all your video tournaments. Im not a Pro-guy but I fish like a pro … thanks to you. Just pulled up this recent video to see what boat and gear you are using.
Thanks for all the great info I got from you.

To all new-fishers watching …. you cant get a better teacher.

  5. The odor of wads of Threadfin/Gizzard Shad, Bluegill on beds, and other groups (schools) of fish (White and Black Bass) differ from one another. Through the years, local anglers on T-Bend/Fork/Rayburn and other East TX reservoirs have often compared the odor of bedding Bluegill to fresh-cut Watermelon. Once you've "got the hang of it", (and the wind isn't howling) the odors of groups of fish can be picked up when the boat is on plane, or moving pretty quickly to different places. We'll jump from pocket to pocket and "check" them just with our sense of smell. Bedding Bass have a distinctive odor, and so on…. It allows us to quickly eliminate water.

  6. These techniques your showing look like money .! I will be using this for Farthers day fishing trip.! Thank you for confirming my thoughts for bait choices.! I would take largemouths like that all day.! I always look forward to your releases.!

  7. Great info, thank you!!! I have had great results using the Zman TRD in the coppertreuse color to mimic bluegills, recently I used the Crush City Ned BLT for the first time in the same color and it work great.

  8. Great video! Those are some of my favorite ways to catch bass in the summer. I started using bluegill-colored swim jigs just a few years ago and they have quickly become one of my go to baits in warm, shallow water.
