Denton, Texas, has a once beautiful waterway that spanned (past tense) from Lake Ray Roberts to Lake Dallas, Texas. It was the Elm Fork of the Trinity River, and I have been documenting this debacle for a few years. I dropped the potato in 2022 because I was being consumed by it, and the Denton Trinity Greenbelt Debacle is one of the reasons I was happy to take on the consulting job down on South Padre Island, Texas, and get away from this for awhile. Instead of purifying my soul, once I returned, it was hotter than ever in my mind. <\/p>\n<p>The US Army Corps of Engineers, TPWD and the City of Denton want nothing to do with fixing this problem.
