Man, what a day! Started off with high hopes, waking up on Lake Fork and heading over to Lake Welsh for some sight fishing. But sometimes, the fishing gods have other plans… Welsh was absolutely packed with boats, so I made the call to turn around right at the ramp and head back to familiar waters: Lake Fork!
And boy, am I glad I did! After that detour, I found an incredible pattern: bass sitting in 3-4 feet of water, specifically where there was hydrilla growing off the banks. And the magic bait? My trusty Booyah One Knocker, primarily in the Rayburn Red color! Those fish couldn’t resist it, hitting it hard in that grass.
This video is all about adapting on the fly, finding that key pattern, and making the most out of a challenging day. You’ll see exactly how I targeted these hydrilla-dwelling bass and why that Rayburn Red One Knocker was the ticket to a successful day back on Fork. Don’t miss the strikes and the story of turning a potential bust into a solid day of bass fishing!
