Hike to Silver Lake in American Fork Canyon, Utah
Hello- this hike looks great. However, I heard that you need a 4WD high clearance vehicle to get to the TH. It looked pretty rugged- but wanted your opinion. I’m flying into SLC next Monday and getting a rental mid size SUV- not sure if it’s 4WD. I’m 55, do some solo day hikes/ car camping and will stay in park city for a few days before driving to the Tetons. Lastly, can you recommend a somewhat easy drive to get to Park City from Silver Lake Parking lot? I think I’d have a few options… American Fork Canyon Road ; Cascade Canyon Rd; Provo Canyon Rd; Big Cottonwood Canyon Rd or all the way back to 80- which I don’t want to do. I just don’t want to mess up a rental car😂
