Lake Fork bass are famous for seemingly disappearing at times and Texas Parks and Wildlife are conducting a tracking survey to better understand where do Lake Fork bass go, especially when relating to the immense fishing pressure we receive here. Today our local biologist has given us the chance to get the behind the scenes details of the results of their movements thus far in this partially completed study.

I wish that he would of let him talk a little more lol about 27 times he interrupted the poor fish an wildlife guy. GREAT INFORMATION but this mans here to give the info to the people. And “we ALL get paid to go fishing”. Matter of fact I get paid while I’m sleeping, eating, drinking or fishing. Excuse me I apologize, I hadn’t finished the video and it’s 32 times the poor guy got interrupted. 🤦♂️😂
Did they try approaching fish in stealth mode? And did it make a difference?
Wish you would let the TPWD talk.
Absolutely invaluable information. Thank you so much!
Anyone who's been on Lake Fork the past few weeks can attest to how finicky the bite gets at times. I mean the Berkley didn't have a single over caught the first day and a half (don't know if someone got one in the final hours).
The fish you documented that traveled out of the Birch Creek several miles could have been put in someone’s live well and relocated
Excellent video. Please do a follow up. Thanks
Do y’all ever think that bed fishing is unhealthily for the the fish?
Very cool show. That Jake is a really likeable guy. Great info. Thank you Billy for all you do. Always look forward to your content.
Good job Brother! Good info!
Hope you continue this education on bass habitation in the future
Eventually the bass will become so a custom to being caught and released, that they will start fighting like a crappie, and save their energy!
That's when I'll give up bass fishing! Haha!
Lake fork the great humbler!!
What an amazing video. Fantastic program and data. Jake is a tremendous asset to expanding your fishery through his tracking and field work. One of the best videos you've ever presented Billy. Outstanding. God Bless from Western Kentucky.
Thanks for the video Billy. Very interesting stuff. Look forward to more videos on this.
Awesome info thanks for y’all’s time
Great info here with this study! The fish that has been caught 3 times, has been in the same place each time, and on three different lures. Pretty cool. My brother caught it on my boat earlier this summer. After speaking with this gentleman, he informed me it was the second smallest in the study. Lol.
This is seriously one of the best , most informative videos I've ever seen thank you.
I don’t want to skew your data but I have an important point I’d like to question on the fish that have moved miles around, what are you doing to tell if that Fish hasn’t been caught and moved to a different area? it’s a common practice in my world that when I catch a fish or multiple fish I keep them in the live well or even tournament fish are kept in the live well and then released in a different Creek or area that they were caught. Thoughts ?
One day, just one day I will get to experience the fishing you guys experience on a daily basis! Texas is incredibly fortunate to have such amazing resources
Good info Billy. Love the backdrop on this video. Never been to the fishery in Athens. Have to make it a point to go see it.
Good stuff Billy! 💯
